Plečnik and Slovenians
January 9, 2017 at 5:30 p.m.
On Monday, 9.1, in a lecture by art historian Darja POVŠA, we will remember the great Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik. He was born in January 1872, and he also died in January; this year marks 60 years since his death. During his modest but extremely creative life, he left an indelible mark on the architecture and art of the Central European region, left his invaluable mark on many Slovenian places and 'nobly transformed the capital'. In the lecture PLEČNIK AND SLOVENIANS, we will take a walk through his works on his beloved homeland in pictures and words and refresh the memory of the great genius.
