Intercultural dialogue

Burek, Balkan music hits, visiting a Chinese store, bananas from Ecuador ... We encounter the "non-native" every day - indirectly or directly - and we take it for granted. In the project JOIN IN we will illuminate theAsian aspects of intercultural dialogue and gave the floor especially those who for whom Slovenia became their new homeland.

With the project we will encouraged cooperation between different cultures, tolerant and respectful attitude to cultural differences, raised awareness general and/or professional public on the importance of intercultural dialogue and promote ethnic diversity.

WHO IS IT FOR?

The program is intended for third-country nationals living in Celje and its surroundings, as well as all other residents of Celje and its surroundings.

WHAT?

Various activities will take place where residents of Celje and its surroundings will meet, socialize, learn and exchange experiences. In cooperation with Radio Celje, we will prepare 5 radio shows on the topic of intercultural dialogue. We will also organize 5 cooking workshops, where we will get to know the smells and tastes of foreign countries, and conduct a survey among immigrants. The project will conclude with socializing and learning about foreign cultures at the closing event on the platform of the Central Library of Celje.

PROGRAM PRICE?

The program is financed from funds European Fund for the Integration of Third-Country Nationals – annual program 2013 – and from funds budget of the Republic of SloveniaTherefore, for the participants free.

The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Fund for the Integration of Third-Country Nationals and the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Slovenia.
