The Celje Central Library and the Soroptimist Celje Humanitarian Club invite you to the presentation of the latest book, Delusions of Postsocialism.
Before us is an intriguing analysis of the reasons why Slovenia fell into crisis. Vesna V. Godina's basic diagnosis sounds simple on the surface: we imported capitalism in a foreign, that is, non-indigenized way, which necessarily produced an economic, social, and political crisis. But the book does not stop there, but rather provides a critique of the classic, mostly economic recipes for a solution and outlines the anthropological framework of Slovenia's post-socialist crime novel with a series of penetrating comparisons with other European countries.
The conversation with the author will be led by Marina Krajnc Tavčar and will take place in the Study Reading Room.
