You are invited. to a lecture about FAMOUS TEKHAR PEOPLE, in which we will learn about the rich and varied history of Teharje, which has produced many famous and important personalities in the cultural, journalistic, educational, political and sports fields. "Teharje had a special status until the abolition of feudalism in 1848.
"The peasant nobles there enjoyed special rights, including the right to bear arms, lower taxes, and their own judge, who was also the mayor," says the lecturer. Matej OCVIRK, also the author of the exhibition Famous people from Teheran, which we will present in collaboration with The Štore Ironworks Museum opened half an hour before the lecture on the second floor.
In preparing the presentation, the author relied on written and oral sources and archival material, which he also collected from relatives of the presented persons. You are invited to both events; the opening of the exhibition at 5 pm and the lecture at 5:30 pm.
The lecture will be held in the Levstik Hall, and the exhibition will be on display on the 2nd floor until May 10th.
