October 24, 1906 – Narodni list, the newspaper of the National Party for Styria, began publication.

Due to a dispute with the "slogaši" (comrades), the Styrian liberals began publishing their own political newspaper, which they called Narodni list. It was published weekly. The first issue was published on 24 October 1906 with a circulation of 6,000 copies. Its first editor-in-chief was Andrej Sever, but he was replaced by Vekoslav Špindler in the ninth issue of the first year, who remained editor until 1914. Only the last few issues before the fateful July 1914 were edited by Janko Lesničar. Narodni list ceased publication by government decree on 30 July 1914.
