January 4, 1919 – The Celje newspaper Nova doba began publication
A liberal Celje newspaper, published once to three times a week. Articles and contributions brought news from Celje and the surrounding area and discussed culture and economic issues of the area. The editor and representative of the consortium, Rado Pečnik, impressed a liberal and Yugoslav orientation. Informative contributions predominated, while analytical articles analyzed economic issues and discussed cultural life in Celje and the surrounding area.

The newspaper was published until 1941 and then under the same title from 1990 to 1995.
