COBISS Ela platform – the first public e-book lending platform. Members of Slovenian public libraries can now access approximately 2200 e-book titles from various Slovenian publishers – free of charge!

You can borrow a book for 21 days, you can have 5 books borrowed at a time. Early return is possible (after 24 hours from the time of borrowing). You search for e-books, borrow them and download them to your device in COBISS Plus and the mCOBISS mobile application.

1. Search for the desired address on CobissEli.
2. Select the "borrow" option and log in to the My Library service.
3. Click “Download” to download the e-book to your device.
4. Open the e-book in the pre-installed application (Thorium Reader, Cantook by Aldiko or FBReader) and start reading.

Rental conditions:

• valid membership,
• the member must not have any outstanding due obligations,
• The member must not have any restrictions in place that affect the borrowing of e-books.
• When borrowing an e-book from the COBISS Ela provider for the first time, the member must enter their login details for My Library, and the password for My Library must also be entered before reading the first e-book on the reader.

Rules for borrowing e-books from the COBISS Ela provider:

• a member can borrow 5 e-books at a time,
• The rental period is 21 days,
• can read them on up to two devices at the same time,
• After 24 hours have passed since the loan, the e-book can also be returned early.
• After the loan period expires, the e-book is automatically canceled and removed from the member's material records.
