The Vojnik Library is located near the Cultural and Firehouse in Vojnik at Prušnikova 5. All citizens can enroll, as the unit is combined and intended for children, adolescents and adults. With the card you receive at the Vojnik Library, you can borrow materials in all units of the Celje Central Library.
Books of various genres (drama, poetry, social, historical, crime, biographical, science fiction and other novels, board books, picture books for children, etc.) and professional literature (philosophy, psychology, medicine, history, art, linguistics, etc.) are available to children, adolescents and adults.
In addition to books, which offer a wealth of information, entertainment and relaxation, you can also borrow non-book materials to take home: films and cartoons on DVDs, music and fairy tales on CDs, and language courses. The children's section also has a play area.
In the reading room you can read local newspapers and magazines, which you can also borrow to take home. The reading room also has a small exhibition space for local and other artists, where they present their work to the public. In addition to borrowing materials, you can also use a computer and access the internet for free.
Events and activities we prepare for you
For children and adolescents:
- Fairytale adventures are on the program twice a month, every second Monday at 5 p.m.
- Fairytale hour for kindergartens – the library is visited by groups of children from nearby kindergartens, to whom we introduce the library with the help of a fairy tale and together with them we take our first steps into the secret world of the library.
- Children's product exhibitions – Every month, children from nearby kindergartens exhibit their products in the library.
- Library tours – we conduct guided tours of the library for groups of students from nearby elementary schools.
- Creative workshops – during the holidays, we hold creative workshops from Monday to Friday.
