ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dr. Vasant Lad is of Indian origin. He worked as the Director of an Ayurvedic hospital in Pune, India, for three years. He was a Professor of Clinical Medicine at an Ayurvedic University, where he taught
for fifteen years. Dr. Lad's academic and practical training included the study of allopathy (Western medicine) and surgery as well as traditional Ayurveda. He now directs the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque and teaches three semesters of Ayurvedic studies. He also travels extensively throughout North America throughout the year, giving private consultations and conducting seminars on Ayurveda, its history, theory, principles and practical applications.
