Daniel lives in Niguardo, a suburb of Milan. The atmosphere in the family is tense, they have no money and they argue constantly.
Daniel grows up in the courtyards of public housing, loves and plays football and is the strongest boy on the field, so much so that at the age of ten he is already playing for Inter. Expectations are very high for him and Daniel does not want to disappoint anyone. When he misses the decisive goal during a match, his dreams of becoming a famous football player are shattered forever. In high school he becomes a bully – a bully who everyone fears, full of anger and aggression. He believes that the only way to gain respect is to inspire fear and is not afraid of anything, not even robbing banks. This is what he actually does until he ends up in Beccaria, a prison for minors. He is considered a hopeless and lost boy. The turning point in his life is his meeting with Don Clavdi, the prison chaplain. Only he accepts “problematic children”, and Daniel slowly learns to look at things from a new perspective with him… (summarized from the general page of Založba Družina)
