Lucija's summer is not full of unforgettable experiences. She spends long days in a newly built house by Lake Čiče, where they recently moved. Her mother has taken a seasonal job as a maid in Poreč due to circumstances, her father works in distant Munich, and Lucija and her brother Janko are left to their "tyrannical" grandmother, who constantly orders them around. It's a good thing that her friend Petra visits her sometimes and that there is at least a local lake nearby where she can cool off when the heat becomes unbearable.
