"Troubled twins" Dallas and Florida are named after the tourist brochures from the bottom of the box they were abandoned in as babies. They spent most of their early childhood in the Boxton Creek Orphanage, run by the impatient and greedy Trepid couple. After unsuccessful attempts at foster care, they kept returning to the Trepids' sour and neglectful care. So they have little hope when the unusual but kind couple take them to Rubindol.
They can't imagine living with the strange old men and even think about running away. But seemingly completely different people gradually realize that living together gives their lives a new meaning. Rubindol is a story about the power of tolerance, determination, love and optimism. (adapted from Bukla.si)
