World War II is coming to an end, Nazi Germany is defeated, and hundreds of thousands of refugees in East Prussia are fleeing the Soviets who are advancing from the east. Among them is a group of young people whose paths cross in the countryside. Each with their own secret, they are caught between the Nazis on one side and the Soviets on the other, all with the desire to board a ship that is supposed to take them to safety...
