The Celje Central Library, in cooperation with the central regional libraries and the Section for Local History and Cultural Heritage, organized the 7th Local History Festival, Domfest '22, which took place live on Friday, October 21, 2022 in the Levstik Hall of the Celje Central Library.

Local history scholars from Slovenian public libraries meet every other year at the local history festival, the theme of this year's event was local history for all generations. Examples of good practices in the field of local history, which are implemented in primary schools, secondary schools and public libraries in Slovenia and abroad, were presented.

Part of the event was also the presentation of the Goropevšek Awards (in cooperation with the ZBDS) for exceptional achievements in the field of local history and cultural heritage, which are of wider social importance and contribute to the progress of local history activities in libraries. The award ceremony, with a cultural program and refreshments, followed in the second part of Domfest in the hall of the National House of Celje (Trg Celjskih knezov, Celje).
