Fiction books are classified according to age and thus the interest of the readers and content (fairy tales, drama texts, poetry, etc.).
Age group C (preschoolers and first three-year-olds). Within the group, books are classified by content and format:
C-Kar – cards and game books,
C-Vs – large picture books – large format picture books with large illustrations,
C-Ms – small picture books – picture books of a smaller format,
C-Bs – “read by myself” – illustrated books for beginners in reading,
C-1 – songs and riddles.
Age group P (schoolchildren aged 9-12). Books in this group are intended for schoolchildren aged 9-12. Comic book lovers will find a subgroup Comics within group P. Poem books for the age group 9-12 are on the shelves marked P/M-1.
Age group M (young people between 13 and 15 years old)
Stories intended for young people between the ages of 13 and 15 are marked with the letter M, and poetry for this age group is marked with P/M-1.
For very good, more demanding and critically independent readers, there are stories on the shelves marked M+, above 15 years. Multi-title literature appeals to both young and adult readers, so individual titles are also on shelves for adults.
Fairy tale collections You can find famous authors and folk tales from different nations on shelves marked PRA (like fairy tales).
Educational books are classified by content, which is indicated by the UDC numerical system. This classifies educational books into groups from 0 to 9.
Educational books for preschool children and schoolchildren in the first three grades of primary school are marked with the C-Iz code and the corresponding UDC group.
Textbooks, workbooks and exercise books and assignments for various school subjects are sorted by subject. Look at the shelves labeled Textbooks.
Magazines
Magazines in the library are classified into two groups. The first group contains magazines for the youngest and magazines intended for parents, complementing the offering of the collection for parents.
You can find magazines for schoolchildren on the shelves marked Per (periodicals). Magazines with entertaining and educational content, as well as magazines in foreign languages, are waiting for you to read!
Drama texts are marked with the Dram label.
