The story takes place in the ninth century in a Greek monastery. The monks are copying the holy scriptures for Cyril and Methodius' missionary journey. They write in Cyrillic. Everything changes dramatically when the "emissary" appears. Things get complicated, become tense, and the power of the head monk is threatened. The events are quite fantastic. The narrator is interesting, who considers himself clumsy.
