Nastja is a student of Slovenian and sociology who cannot find a summer job in her field, so she reluctantly takes a job at the Serbian inn Buco on the outskirts of Ljubljana. Full of prejudice, she finds herself in a different environment than she is used to. Her education, which she is very proud of, and her excellent knowledge of Latin do not guarantee her any respect or recognition at work. Together with other waiters, among whom is only one Slovenian, she works in a full inn among people whom she has despised for many years and believed that "anything that ends in -ić is bad". She gets to know Serbian culture, customs and people whom she has always avoided. Despite her principles, she has to admit that she has even fallen in love with one of the waiters. The summer job at the inn teaches Nastja a useful lesson, namely that stereotypes are a bunch of things that quickly turn to dust when they come into contact with reality and that can change us forever.
