The book is about the search for love, understanding between partners and those brief moments of happiness and perfection that are associated with peace, balance and complete satisfaction in a relationship. Arno is a cellist in the orchestra of the famous La Scala in Milan, where he is completely devoted to his work. And although he marries his only love, Sara, and has three children with her, somehow he never manages to penetrate the depths of his wife's soul. Sara tries to tell him many times in her own way that she is not very happy in life. However, her calls for change and dialogue with her partner remain ignored. It is only when Sara suddenly, without warning, leaves and abandons the family that he slowly realizes that he never really knew his wife. Did he ever truly love her?
