I met Mrs. Vida Lorger, born Mulej, in 1974, when I rented an apartment from her. I remember her as a gentle, friendly and well-groomed lady, who remained active, curious and full of life energy even in her later years. Although she remained somewhat in the shadow of her husband, doctor Dr. Viktor Lorger, and her brother-in-law, archaeologist Dr. Fran Lorger, throughout her life, she left an important mark on the life of Šmarje pri Jelšah with her work, character and dedication.
