Chef Marko Pavčnik He is known throughout Slovenia and has received numerous recognitions and awards, including being named Slovenian Chef of the Year 2022 by the culinary guide Gault Millau.
A self-taught chef, a master of Slovenian cuisine, he has established his own culinary language, which he has been successfully building and developing for many years at the Pavus restaurant at Laško Castle. This spring, he expanded his culinary mission to Celje when he opened the boutique bistro Lalu, which has firmly established itself in our hearts in six months.
Since he is our closest neighbor on the Trg Celje Princes Square, we asked him to share a piece of his masterpieces with us and you this year's St. Martin's Day. He has prepared a four-course menu, in which all dishes will be based on traditional Slovenian St. Martin's Day cuisine. Each dish will be accompanied by a suitable wine of his choice.
To truly experience an evening for all the senses, the singers will add their voices. Bogdan Herman and a top accordionist Jure Tori, who will conjure up an evening of Slovenian folk songs.
