We invite you to a lecture on the importance of a healthy gluten-free diet, which will be given by members of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Society.
Nowadays, we hear and read more and more about the gluten-free diet, but unfortunately, it is often just a new-age recipe that celebrities use to improve their well-being and stay slim.
But experts warn: a gluten-free diet is not a fad, but a cure!
Chronic inflammatory bowel disease, which actually combines two diseases, ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, is on the rise in the modern world. The diagnosis is made based on numerous tests of the digestive tract when symptoms are present. After the diagnosis is made, the doctor prescribes a gluten-free diet, which consists of a lot of meat, fish, milk and dairy products, rice, potatoes, fruits and vegetables, buckwheat, quinoa and other naturally gluten-free foods, while the consumption of cereals, such as wheat, rye, barley, and products made from them is strictly prohibited.
The Inflammatory Bowel Disease Society was founded in 2004 with the aim of helping patients with this disease improve their quality of life and at the same time raising public awareness about the importance of a healthy gluten-free diet.
The lecture will discuss this increasingly widespread disease and the importance of a healthy gluten-free diet, which is increasingly recommended by experts even for healthy people. The lecture will also present the book Gluten-free life, whose author, Suzana Krajnc, is also an active member of the society.
The lecture will be in the Music-Film department.
