Students and teachers of the Lava Gymnasium have brought 13 Irish legends to life with translations and illustrations. The result of this successful collaboration is a booklet IRISH LEGENDS, the first Slovenian translation and book edition of Irish legends. The project's conceptual leader, mag. Polona Zalokar, was also a mentor to the student translators, and the illustrators were guided by art professor Darja Povše. The first presentation of the booklet was also attended by the Irish Ambassador Myles Geiran, who said that "Irish legends are the best in the world. Heroes are both good and bad, but they offer not only stories, but also guidelines for life". The young people will be happy to present some legends to us, accompanied by traditional Irish melodies.
